If you suffered a workers’ compensation injury and returned to work doing light duty work your layoff may entitle you to workers’ compensation. Effective July 1, 2019 the maximum rate for temporary total disability benefits In Georgia is $675 per week. Effective July 1, 2019 the maximum rate for unemployment benefits is $365 per week.

If you are entitled to workers compensation benefits when your light duty work is withdrawn by your employer your benefits can last several years. Unemployment benefits last for 13 weeks.
